Terminal Connection Testing with the BITE2
A battery string consists of more than just batteries. There are also inter-cell connections, intertier connections and a charger that needs to be tested. There is also the connection between the charger and the battery string that needs to be tested. This is now required in the USA by North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). A new feature has been added to the BITE2 receiver that allows for this measurement.

SVERKER900 - Testing negative sequence overcurrent protection
Unbalance phase currents in a power system that exceed the allowable normal operation limit can indicate abnormal condition or even existence of fault(s) in the system. The operating principal unbalance over current protection is normally based on measurement of negative sequence component of unbalance phase currents. Similar to phase over current protection, normally a pick up (start) threshold and a definite time delay for operation can be set.

Configuring an Inrush Test
Current inrush testing is a common test that can be performed on transformers, motors and other equipment. This document shall describe how to configure the MPQ Analyzer to perform an inrush test. The MPQ Analyzer can record the voltage, current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor and energy for every cycle for every active channel/phase, before and after the inrush. The MPQ Analyzer will also capture the inrush waveform for up to 10 seconds on each active channel.

New “Confidence Meter” adaptive loop impedance meter
Use where electrical noise affects the repeatability of measured values to the extent where it is difficult or impossible to get a reliable loop impedance value, or where a significant number of repeated measurements are required to provide a reasonable average.
