We’re going to be at the CIGRÉ Symposium for 2017 and we’re inviting you to come and visit us at stand 1 on the upper floor.
There, you’ll be able to get expert advice from our experienced application engineers who are on hand to help you and share their knowledge.
What’s more, you’ll be able to take a look at our SVERKER 900 series of relay and substation test systems, our TRAX multifunction transformer and substation test set and our UHF PD Detector surveying system. We’ll also have our S1 series of insulation resistance testers on display and you’ll be able to see hands-on demonstrations of all our equipment throughout the day.
If you’d like to arrange a meeting with one of our experts, email Sandy Thompson or Damon Mount.
CIGRÉ itself is the Council on Large Electric Systems and has been around since the 1920s. It’s a non-profit association that aims to improve electric power systems by encouraging experts to collaborate together and share their knowledge.
The Symposium is a part of that. This annual event is held in different countries every year and showcases a host of expert-lead talks, tutorials and study committee meetings over a series of days. This year’s theme is “Experiencing the Future Power System...Today”, with the focus being on the experiences gained from experimenting with new technologies and techniques in the design and building of global power and market systems.
This year, CIGRÉ will be held at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland from 29th May to 2nd June. Tuesday 30th May will hold a half-day tutorial session in the afternoon, Wednesday 31st May and Thursday 1st June will focus on the main sessions, with a special gala dinner held on Wednesday evening.
Registrations close on the 25th May, so make sure you sign up soon if you haven’t yet got your tickets.
