Our engineering teams design, develop and support the manufacturing and introduction to the market of standard bearer test and measurement products used in the electricity generation, supply and distribution industry. The research and innovation activities produces intellectual property leading to patents for Megger.

Engineering work closely with the Product Management team, who translate market, regulatory and standards requirements from which we develop our products. The team work with engineering partners within the wider Megger Group to share knowledge and create and maintain group-wide instrument platforms and designs.

Engineering is spread across five disciplines: electronics, software, mechanical, test and qualification. These working together to deliver world class electrical testing products and accessories.

The Electronics team constantly look to innovate new electrical testing methodologies and algorithms and pride themselves in keeping users safe while working in hazardous and hard environments.

Our engineers in the Mechanical Design team are responsible for the design of product housings, internal assemblies and mechanisms, graphics, packaging, test leads and accessories. These are achieved by using 3D CAD design and simulation, by producing and testing prototypes and by producing data for component tooling and assembly.  The team work closely with colleagues within the other four engineering disciplines.

The Engineering Test department provide equipment and support for calibration and testing of company  products. They also ensure that circuit boards are manufactured with the correct components and all products despatched meet their design specification.
