Kent – things to do

Kent will keep you busy throughout the year, with over 40 farmer’s markets, one of the world’s smallest public railways, beautiful castles and stunning vineyards to while away the hours. Also close to the Megger offices are the quaint villages of St. Margaret’s at Cliffe, Wye, Eythorne and many more.

Steeped in history

One of Kent’s many wonderful locations is Canterbury which provides the perfect mix of history and modernity with England’s oldest Cathedral dominating the skyline, as well as the ancient ruins of St Augustine’s Abbey and St Martin’s Church forming Canterbury’s UNESCO World Heritage site. The modern mix means that there are plenty of luxury hotels, fine restaurants serving food from across the globe, lively nightclubs and welcoming pubs to give a complete experience.

Dover’s own castle is an unrivalled attraction with a history stretching from King Henry II, through the siege of 1216 to WWII and “Hellfire Corner”.
